Job Summary
This opportunity is used for Physical Therapists to express interest in opportunities at all of our Rehab site locations!
Responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, administering, documenting and evaluating direct physical therapy patient care in accordance with accepted physical therapy practice and the physician's overall treatment plan.
Promotes Lakeland Regional Health System philosophy to ensure quality care and guest relations.??? Performs a thorough and complete evaluation of patients properly referred according to Michigan law in order to determine the patient's rehab potential and establish an individually based treatment plan.??? Administers physical therapy treatments to patients according to professional standards and department standard operating procedure in order to maximize the patient's potential functioning level and to achieve treatment goals.??? Maintains and completes accurate documentation, department records and reports for all assigned patients in order to provide a clear record and to communicate patient's treatment plan and progress to the referring physician.??? Maintains commitment to professional growth and competency to ensure the quality of care.??? Contribute to the efficient and productive operation of the rehab services.??? Maintains effective communication with other members of the rehab team regarding physical therapy programs to ensure understanding and better patient care.??? Committed to the continuous improvement of the patient experience which includes patient safety, quality of care and excellent service. Adheres to the organization's published values.
BCLS Certification - AHA, Physical Therapist License - State of Michigan

Physical Requirements:
Continuously: Lifting/exerting force: 0-10 lbs., Use of hands to grasp/handle/feel, Vision, Vision-color, Hearing, Speaking,
Frequently: Standing, Walking, Lifting/exerting force: 11-25 lbs., Stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl, Bending, Squatting
Occasionally: Sitting, Lifting/exerting force: 26-51 lbs., Climb/balance, Operating a motor vehicle
Skills: Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with sick and/or irritable patients of all ages in order to gain their cooperation and allay apprehensions. Must be able to provide effective instruction to patients and family members.
Must possess analytical abilities and sound physical therapy knowledge necessary for the effective formulation of treatment plans, implementation of care, and appropriate documentation regarding patient's condition.
Abilities: Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended shifts and/or extra shifts, various locations, sometimes on short notice.
Environmental Conditions: Potential exposure to fumes, dust, gases, and odors. Frequent changes in temperature may occur. Possibility of exposure to communicable diseases.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
