Job Details
Responsibilities:
Schedule and register patients for all diagnostic procedures at Lakeland Health.
Coordinate and maintain patient referral and authorization which includes insurance verification and documentation of insurance benefits.
Provide estimated cost for services to the patient and have preliminary conversations with the patient regarding their financial responsibility.
Work closely with the Patient Financial Advocates to coordinate financial assistance for patients.
All communications are conducted in a manner that will result in positive patient relations and prompt reimbursement for the services provided by Lakeland Health.
Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED. Medical Terminology
CHAA Certification or 7
years of experience and completion of certification with 6 months of hire.
Must have a minimum of five years Revenue Cycle/Insurance/Medical office experience or college degree with a minimum of two years of experience.
Must be able to pass a typing test at 40 wpm, with a high degree of accuracy.
Epic experience. One to two years customer service experience is preferred.
