Responsible for all electrical equipment and electrical repairs at all three manufacturing facilities.
The Maintenance Technician/Master Electrician is expected to perform at the highest level of personal performance possible and work enthusiastically to meet or exceed performance goals set by the company and to assist the company in achieving its goals for customer intimacy in becoming the best provider of printing services in the industry.
Meets established goals in a manner consistent with the company's rules and policies as stated in the Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Manual, Work Methods, Safety Manual and other applicable documents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
o Responsible for all electrical equipment, transformers, switch gear and panels.
o Performs preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment.
o Troubleshoots, repairs and upgrades all electrical equipment.
o Troubleshoots mechanical and operational problems on all equipment, as needed.
o Installs all electrical equipment.
o Plans, heads up and handles all electrical projects from beginning to end.
o Orders electrical parts.
o Performs all work to NEC code specifications.
o Supports the maintenance department in other areas of work as needed.
o Maintains daily project/maintenance area housekeeping.
o Must be able to read, follow and perform work instructions.
o Completes special projects, as needed.
o Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); and One year certificate from college or technical school; and eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
o Must have or be able to get lift truck license.
o Must be Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician in the State of Michigan.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Basic PC skills are preferred in order to look up information via the internet and send/receive emails OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
o Must have strong mechanical aptitude.
o Must have a high level of skills in all mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repairs and installations.
o Must have a strong mechanical aptitude.
o Must have leadership skills.
o Must have excellent communication skills.
o Must be familiar with standard maintenance equipment and tools.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
o Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
o Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
o Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
o Ability to effectively present information to top management.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
o Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
o Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
REASONING ABILITY:
o Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.
,) in its most difficult phases.
o Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
