LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support multiple attorneys in our clientu2019s beautiful St. Joseph, MI, office.
This position is full-time and requires working on-site M-F during regular business hours.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of civil litigation.
- Manage legal cases, document storage, and client files.
- Request, prepare, and review documents and meet strict deadlines.
- Schedule meetings, manage court dockets, and handle attorney expenses.
- Maintain strict client confidentiality, a positive community reputation, and develop professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 1
years of civil litigation legal assistant or legal secretary experience working in a busy US law firm. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
- Tech savvy with Adobe PDF, CRM, SurePoint, and Concur is helpful.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and court filing procedures (PACER and MiFILE) is required.
- A paralegal certificate or degree is preferred but not required.
Compensation:
- $48,000 - $60,000 DOE
